THE DUO
At the beginning
The story began in 1998 on the streets of Paris in from of the Beaubourg Centre. At the start were two brothers, Alexandre and Stéphane, who are from a dual culture: French and Italian. These two artists with multiple talents and a nature that complement each other made of their differences a creative wealth to form their new circus.
The original simple duo at the start has today become a business with more than 50 artists coming from all around the world. The business is also more than 1000 hand-made costumes tailored in our sewing workshop. And because the Farfadais need room to create and practice, it has a 700 m² space in Alpes-Maritimes and, since not that long ago, the use of a second space of 300 m² in Barcelona (Spain).
Stéphane Kier

Artistic Director and technical Co Director
Stéphane practiced high level gymnastics from the age of 6 up until he reached 17. In 1995 he starts creating street acts. Noticed and picked out, Stéphane make his entrance in television sets and shows in Italy. In 1996, following his training in both fashion design and circus school he develops original visual shows and incorporate them with acrobatic acts.
Alexandre Haffner

Technical Director and Artistic Co Director
From the age of 10, Alexandre practiced climbing and acquired skills of hanging in the air. In 1997, he starts commercialising his fashion creations. His catwalks become visual shows with models and acrobats-dancers in costumes. With the soul of a performer, Alexandre creates a street solo show whilst pursuing his industrial design studies in Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy). Once his diploma obtained, he joins his brother Stéphane and starts working in the company. He then creates the machinery and adapts unusual materials to costume making.
